You may be aware of the endless benefits of yoga, including the physical (improved digestion, flexibility, balance, muscle toning), the mental (peace, awareness, clarity of the mind), and energetic (shifting and releasing energy that gets stuck), but how does this translate to our every day lives?
If you’ve ever practiced yoga, you’ve probably experienced a wide variety of sensations and emotions each and every time you step onto your mat, depending on what your life circumstances look like at that given moment. If you’re new to yoga, it typically goes something like this: you’re twisting and turning your body, holding all of these difficult positions, sweating like crazy, wondering how much longer your muscles can take it, and then the teacher reminds you to breathe.
