Emotional Integration: Reprogramming Your Body’s Architecture
Ringing In A New Year: Navigating Seasonal Pressures.
This time of year is always tinted by the magic of change. With cheer and festive lights, comes the pressures of family—the need to showcase the best versions of ourselves and inevitably face our perceived failures amongst the court of our peers. It’s such a common experience that even pop music draws from its pressures. As David Bowie and Freddy Mercury put it in “Under Pressure”:
“Pressure pushin’ down on me
Pressin’ down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure that brings a building down
Splits a family in two, puts people on streets
Mm-ba-ba-beh, mm-ba-ba-beh
Dee-day-da, ee-day-da”
This time of year has a way of bringing us all to our knees—in tears and joy, in faith, or in prayer—it humbles us all, creating a time of reflection and preparation for the new year.
Designing Emotional Balance: How Emotional Architecture Helps You Thrive Under Pressure.
Every emotion is direct guidance to level up our lives, find balance, and become the best versions of ourselves. My name is AzLynn. I am an Alignment and Embodiment Guide. I specialize in reprogramming the Emotional Architecture of the body. I’ve spent over 16 years helping people heal from chronic pain as a Neuromuscular Therapist. Now, I help people find the core of their pain and transform their longest-held, unprocessed emotions to ignite transformation. When choosing change, It’s easy to feel the pressure and get stuck, feeling like you are broken.
That’s okay
That’s the terror of knowing what this world is about
Watchin’ some good friends screamin’, ‘Let me out’
Pray tomorrow gets me higher
Pressure on people, people on streets”
—“Under Pressure” by David Bowie
I promise that this is an invitation, a call to integrate the pieces of you that have been long hidden. Creating opportunities for the inner child to reclaim the parts of themselves too busy trying to feel safe in a world unfair.
A Conversation With Your Inner Child: Breaking Free From Feeling Broken In Family Patterns.
Client: I’m so tired of feeling like I’m not enough, trying to prove I’m not broken. Being around my family opens it up again.
Me: Just because a situation triggers protective behavior doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means there is a problem in the family system that encourages you to suppress yourself. So sit down and calmly tell that little girl inside of you that it may have taken me a while, but I’m here. I’ve got us, and this big scary thing is nothing compared to who we have become. I know it’s scary, but are you ready to try something different? You’re not alone. I’ve got us, and the full version of us is so much more capable. Are you ready? I am here now! ‘
I’ve been leaning hard into this lately, and that feeling of being innately valuable keeps growing every time because my inner child is seeing herself listened to, prioritized, and stood up for!
Client: YYYAAAAAAASSSSSSS!
Me: And just like that, you’ve got me crying… lol.
Client: I needed that so much. Thank you; I love you.
Sometimes all we need is a little extra support in a place where we never had it before and if that’s you I am here for you. It is funny how the smallest connection within ourselves can reunite pieces of ourselves with the fullness of who we are. When that part is free from protecting us, is when the playful and open version of you gets to reintegrate.
The Body’s Wisdom: Understanding The Physical Response To Emotional Misalignment.
Your body knows when your mind and your emotional actions are out of alignment with who you are. Your body seems to have a master kill switch and can turn off your ability to reason when doing something that it feels is emotionally unsafe.
That’s why we get stuck and struggle to process something in our lives. It’s easier to retell an old story of hurt or harm if the emotional energy is still stuck in your body, playing out in our actions or behaviors.
From Suppression To Integration: Overcoming Instinctive Reactions.
Having these subconscious mechanisms take over can make you feel broken. When, in reality, it’s usually an instinctive reaction from an environment that causes you to suppress your needs in unhealthy ways. You’re not broken—you just learned to suppress your intuition, and you’re ready to integrate and be fully supported.
While these moments can feel difficult, they always arrive when you are ready, trust that you are ready. So often we bypass ourselves out of believing our intuition, the body’s instinct, blaming past experience. It’s by the soft dim gaslight that we get to learn to fully show up for ourselves. It’s where we build strength, learn, and listen to the parts of ourselves that have been hidden away, that we learn to live in the light.
Diamonds From Pressure: Finding Wisdom in Life’s Challenges.
This is the nature of emotional integration: it’s bringing the body and mind back into alignment so the fullness of who you are can take precedence and action in life.
“Insanity laughs under pressure, we’re breaking
Can’t we give ourselves one more chance?
Why can’t we give love that one more chance?
Why can’t we give love, give love, give love?”—“Under Pressure” by David Bowie
As the season’s pressures weigh on, reflect on the changes you wish to make, and remember: pressure creates diamonds out of dust. In the same way, the challenges you face carve wisdom and experience out of your life’s journey.
