Several generations ago, men and women mostly had sex strictly for procreation and to carry on the family legacy and name. Sex was viewed as a duty and obligation in the not-so-distant past. People lived to survive, farming the land to have their physical needs met. In traditional roles, the men were the hunters and brought home the bacon. Men went to work and the women would support the man in the home environment, gathering and preparing meals, and tending to the children.
