Detoxifying Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 2
Ingredients:
For the smoothie bowl:
- 2 ripe bananas, frozen
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 cup spinach leaves, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
For the toppings:
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup dried pineapple, chopped
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Directions:
In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, cocoa powder, almond butter, spinach leaves, almond milk, and chia seeds. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more almond milk if needed to reach your desired consistency. Pour the chocolate smoothie mixture into two serving bowls. Top each smoothie bowl with fresh blueberries, chopped dried pineapple, shredded coconut, and additional chia seeds.
