In this episode of Oh My Heath … There’s HOPE! Jana talks with Dr. Teresa Fuller. Dr. Fuller is a double board-certified physician in pediatrics and integrative holistic medicine and holds a Ph.D. in physiology. She received both her M.D. and Ph.D. at Howard University in 1999 and has been a practicing pediatrician in the Maryland area for more than 15 years.
According to T, “Holistic medicine is an approach to medicine that involves getting to the root causes of illness and supplying the body with what it needs to heal and restore normal function. This is based on the understanding that the body is fully equipped to self-heal when given the proper support. This is much superior to simply covering up the symptoms with medications, and it’s a much more rewarding way to practice medicine.”
Dr. T is the Executive Director of A Healthy Tomorrow, PA, an organization that empowers families with health education and resources to achieve optimal wellness. Dr. T has been a contributing health writer for The Baltimore Times, Demand Media, and has also appeared on several local network news and talk shows, and in national publications. She is the author of Change 1 Thing: A Doctor’s 12 Step Guide to Permanent Weight Loss, Disease Prevention, and a Lifetime of Incredible Health. More recently, she has published her first novel, Time of Death: The Next Pandemic.
Dr. T is married to Rev. Julian Fuller, and they have 2 sons.
“If tomorrow comes, you’ll have to live in the consequences of the choices that you make today. Choose wisely!”
