From Stress to Success: How One Simple Technique Can Heal Your Body, Mind and Your Business – Eight years ago, I received a diagnosis that would alter the course of my life: lupus. This autoimmune disease causes the body’s immune system to attack its own tissues, leading to inflammation, pain, and damage to various parts of the body, including muscles and organs. The physical toll was immense, but the emotional and mental strain was equally debilitating.
As an entrepreneur, the added stress of my work compounded my health challenges. Each day felt like a battle, not only against the symptoms of lupus but also against the mounting pressures of sustaining and growing my business. I was caught in a relentless cycle of stress and illness, each exacerbating the other.
Desperate for relief, I explored numerous treatments and therapies, both conventional and alternative. While some offered some relief, none provided the holistic healing I desperately sought. It was during a conversation with my alternative medicine doctor that recommended I try Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as tapping.
EFT is a therapeutic mindfulness technique that involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on particular issues or emotions to balance the body’s energy system and alleviate stress.
At first, I was skeptical, uncertain if it really worked. But, I was willing to try anything!
To my surprise, the simple act of tapping, combined with focused affirmations, helped calm my nervous system and reduce the stress that had been aggravating my lupus symptoms. I found myself more centered, more present, and with a renewed sense of control over my health and well-being.

As my stress levels decreased, I noticed a significant improvement in my work. I approached business challenges with greater clarity and resilience. The mental fog that often accompanied my lupus began to lift, allowing me to engage more fully present to almost every strategic decision I made.
EFT became a cornerstone of my self-care regimen. By dedicating time each day to this practice, I was able to manage my stress more effectively and take a more active role in my healing which in turn helped mitigate the flare-ups.
Inspired by my personal success with EFT, I delved deeper into understanding it. I discovered that EFT has been recognized for its potential to reduce stress, and anxiety and improve overall well-being, offering a convenient and safe non-medicated regimen.
The journey of living with lupus has been fraught with challenges, but discovering EFT has given me a beacon of hope, a practical tool to navigate the complexities of my health and professional life. Through tapping, I have reclaimed a sense of balance and abundance that I once thought was lost.
