The Orientation of Self-love: Unlocking Your Emotional Architecture for Success
An Artist’s Eye On Self Love, An Essential Shift.
There is an art to it, self-love. It is the divine order of ourselves being the center of the universe. The only constant and inescapable next to death. Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity shows how every perspective is inarguably different and unique. The main character is always in motion and the only real perspective we will ever have is ourselves.
Common Mistake In Self Love.
Somehow, through the expectations of life, we get this undeniable perspective shifted onto others. Changing our motivations to an external source. Our value drops as our actions become duties and the joy we once had seems bland.
What is self-love but to love that person in the mirror so much that everything we do falls in place? With our actions aligned, care and concern turns to ourselves first and our source of value comes from inside. This is not selfish; it’s knowing thyself. It doesn’t matter where the romantic comedy leads as long as the camera is following you. How often do we turn the camera unknowingly away from ourselves?
You may be steadily in the meet cute phase, about to bump into the love of your life or crashing through the hero’s journey creating the biggest mistakes. None of that matters when you truly love yourself; compassion becomes second nature. We have this unbound understanding of what love is from this perspective but we give of ourselves till we’re depleted, placing our point of view in the hands of others.
Understanding The Role Of Pain & Subconscious Actions On Self Love. As an Alignment & Embodiment guide, I see the world of pain through a lens of emotional integration. Pain isn’t a signal of being broken; instead, it suggests a life lived out of alignment. Within your emotional architecture discomfort reveles a blind spot in the translation of action.
What we intend is misinterpreted and returned through repetitive cycles. This is evident in how you interact with your body, environment, and prioritize your emotions. Your body serves as a guide, revealing lessons for your awareness, mirroring your emotions. All of this is translated through to the senses and recorded in the subconscious brought forth as actions. Pay attention when your senses become heightened.
The effects these small habits have on the body, as they filter through our senses, send messages of unimportance, always second place, and so on. The subconscious will interpret as it is, while our mind will reflect it as our inner voice. Our thoughts reflect the struggle the body feels being chosen last, when we are in fact the main character, the hero.
The Divine Comedy Of Self Love.
I found myself at this stunning hotel called La Casa Del Camino being absolutely spoiled, room and food comped. Each morning I was met with a cheerful smile next to a roaring fireplace in the hotel lobby. The open welcoming sense of belonging, mixed with laughter from the friendly staff strategizing the internal life of the hotel, gave this place an energetic buzz of belonging. I was being absolutely spoiled and found it uncomfortable fighting with myself to simply enjoy it.
Like so many business owners or busy parents it’s my job to care for others. I am used to carrying with me my whole community and letting my own needs get lost in the wash. It’s stifling realizing just how often I defer attention to others and offset my own accomplishments. It’s just me, here, and now, I can see it, the cycle that’s held me back in love, success, and so many other things.
The landscape is breathtaking. Sweeping sand dunes covered in a mix of coastal grass and sea moss. A staircase descends many flights down the cliff side into a rocky coastal beach. On my right the waves have carved out the stone and left behind the molten remains of the inner earth. The shore line is cut into by the waves, each lapping at the heels of the last. A happy couple sits above me on the lookout, 2 flights up. Their faint laughter is mixing with sounds of the ocean adding a nostalgic ambiance.
An invitation to success, Taking Center stage in Life.
I am center stage in my own story. No one else is here for me to deflect attention too. No detraction from the work and sense of accomplishment. The world around me paints a landscape of divine timing as my sense of self aligns with the emotional development of my character together finally!
I don’t see myself from the perspective that others tend to, but I worked hard for this, facing so much fear around the things that brought me here. I feel the connection to my purpose more clearly as the intrinsic orientation of my love language aligns in support of my purpose.
The Self Love Journey & Our Perspective
In the journey of self-love, the artistry within is where our perspective becomes the constant center. For a body led by the soul inhabiting it, we are the absolute center of the universe. The main character in our story is always in motion. True self-love, however, is not selfish; it’s an understanding that, like a romantic comedy, the camera will always follow you, regardless of the plot.
Finding Self Love Blocks Between Motivation & Success.
This is my question to you, how often do you deflect attention away from you, do you allow yourself to stand in the spotlight? Does a compliment cause you discomfort or cause you to shy away? If any of these behaviors are present then you have a block to success. Something is pushing you away from celebrating yourself, your actions or accomplishments. Overcoming these behaviors and deconstructing the emotional architecture is a key aspect to changing the foundation of success, and internalizing your worth and value.
If your inner voice is out of alignment filled with should’ve, could’ve or would’ve. I invite you to explore this subject further in our monthly Elevation Session.
